The firm of Pilgrim Geddes is primarily a commercial legal practice, which is located on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. It was founded in 1981.

We practice, in all areas of commercial law with the emphasis being on personal service and contact, speed and efficiency, realistic and acceptable costs.

Mr Justin Geddes is the Principal of the firm of Pilgrim Geddes.

Justin Geddes has been admitted in the following jurisdictions:

•	1977 The Supreme Court of New South Wales, as a Solicitor;
•	1980 The High Court of Australia, as a Solicitor;
•	1980 The National Court of Justice of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, as a Solicitor and Barrister; and
•	1983 The Supreme Court of Queensland, as a Solicitor.

Justin holds a specialist Masters Degree in Corporate and Commercial Law from Bond University, Queensland.

Justin initially practiced in New South Wales (1977-1980) before taking a position with the Department of Justice, Papua New Guinea in their major projects section where he worked for 3 years (1980-1983). He has been in practice in Queensland since 1983. His background is in commercial law, with emphasis on contract, construction, company, tax law and commercial litigation. His work also includes family law but with emphasis only on property matters, preferably those involving family companies and trusts.

His experience is wide and over the years has involved establishment of joint ventures, company and trust structures, capital raising, international borrowing, preparation and negotiation of joint ventures, construction and inter company agreements. In more recent years he has tended to concentrate in the area of intellectual property and on the negotiation and settling of international license agreements.

Justin's corporate work has taken him to Hong Kong and the United Kingdom.
A number of his clients reside outside Australia.

The firm has an excellent relationship with very prominent and highly respected members of the Queensland Bar Association.

The firm places particular emphasis on engaging a suitable Counsel for your particular case, subject always to your formal instructions.

The firm utilises the alternative dispute resolution procedures which are in place in all Courts. The alternative dispute resolution is a way in which clients can resolve their claims more quickly and more cost effectively through mediation processes.
